Linda Edna's parents are businessmen Wayne David Cardellini and Lorraine (Hernan). They were born at Redwood City in California. James was then cast as Countess Natasha Rostova on the TV adaptation of War & Peace in 2016. James has appeared in numerous films such as Baby Driver (2017) and period dramas Darkest Hour (2017) and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society 2018 and The Dig 2021, as in the musicals Mamma Mia! We Go Back Again (2018) and Yesterday (2019). Her character in the role of Pamela Anderson was recognized with a Golden Globe nomination and a Primetime Emmy Award.
