Teryl Rothery, a Canadian actor, is famous for her stage performances, television and film. She is best known for portraying Janet Fraiser in the TV show Stargate SG-1. She also starred as Grace Sherman in Cedar Cove as well as had key parts as Muriel in Virgin River, Jean Loring in Arrow and Celia Hudson in Nancy Drew. She has been involved in a number of television movies. Rothery started dancing lessons when she was nine years old. In 1995, Rothery considered that this was the start of her career in entertainment. [2] Her first professional outings as a performer took place in the musical Bye Bye Birdie at age 13[3] and in Marpole Community Theatre's production of The Sound of Music at age 14. As a youth she was a dancer in The Irish Rovers variety television series. When she was 18, she was first seen on the television screen with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation television special to celebrate Halloween.
